If you’re thinking that the UUA leadership threw away the only safe haven for Freethinkers and Humanists while getting nothing at all for it, you’re clearly correct. The best years of the Unitarian Universalist church were those years when Humanists, Freethinkers, Atheists, Agnostics and other doubters were not only welcomed, but preferred.
